Day 1: Fly to Prague
Our trip beings with an overnight flight to Prague.


Day 2: Prague
We arrive in Prague for a two night stay in the capital city of the Czech Republic. This evening get acquainted at our welcome dinner. D


Day 3: Old World Charm
Learn why Prague is one of the best-preserved medieval cities on a walking tour with a local guide. Visit the Prague Castle district, or Hradcany in Czech. Go inside Saint Vitus Cathedral, and the Old Royal Palace. Walk along the Golden Lane, a street of small houses built at the end of the 16th century to house castle marksmen. The afternoon is free to explore Prague at your own pace. Revel in a special included dinner starting with Medovina, a sweet mead of Moravian honey, followed by a traditional menu and folk music. Day 4: Cesky Krumlov & All Aboard!
We leave Prague and travel by motorcoach through the quaint villages of the charming Bohemian countryside. Our destination is Cesky Krumlov, a medieval village straddling the Vltava River. Go back in time on a guided walking tour through this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overlooking the village is its looming castle, referred to as the "Pearl of the Renaissance." We continue through the picturesque countryside to Passau, Germany. See St. Stephen's Cathedral before we board the luxurious Amadeus Silver, named "River Ship of the Year" when it debuted in 2013. Experience Austrian hospitality and impeccable service during our five night cruise. This evening we enjoy a special Welcome Reception & Bon Voyage Dinner in the Panorama Dining Room prepared by international chefs. B,D


Day 5: Linz & Salzburg 
Learn about Linz, Austria, once acknowledged as a European Capital of Culture. Enjoy the day in Linz and the amenities of the Amadeus Silver, or board a motorcoach for a drive through the mountains and forests of the Salzkammergut Lake District for a guided tour of Salzburg and Mirabell Gardens. From Linz, we sail downstream towards Melk. B,L,D


Day 6: Wachu Valley
This morning we dock in Emmersdorf, Austria across the river from Melk. Included is a shore excursion to the 900-year-old, Baroque-style Benedictine Abbey of Melk. Visit the modern Abbey Museum and tour the Prelature Hall, the Marble Hall and the world-famous Abbey Library known for its extensive historical manuscript collection. We return to our riverboat for lunch and an afternoon of sailing through the heart of the Wachau Valley, one of the most scenic parts of the Danube River. This evening we arrive in Vienna. Tonight relax to music provided by the Amadeus Duo in the Panorama Bar or pamper yourself with a massage. B,L,D


Day 7: Vienna
The grand sights of Vienna await us as we tour the historic city center. Marvel at Vienna's famous gothic St. Stephen’s Cathedral, see the quirky Expressionist house known as Hundertwasserhaus and the impressive Hofburg Palace. After lunch, become enchanted with Schönbrunn Palace. Tonight we are guests at the Kursalon, one of Vienna's most enchanting music venues. Listen as the Alt Wien orchestra plays waltzes and famous concert melodies. B,L,D


Day 8: Bratislava
Enjoy a full day in Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia. Our included shore excursion visits Bratislava Castle, standing on the Little Carpathian mountain range with panoramic views of three countries, Slovakia, Austria and Hungary. Return to the riverboat for lunch, then go ashore in the afternoon with free time to visit the Old Town. B,L,D


Day 9: Esztergom, Szentendre & Budapest 
We awaken this morning to find our riverboat in Esztergom, Hungary. Here we disembark from our five night cruise to continue exploring the beautiful Danube River Valley. See the third largest basilica in Europe in Esztergom before visiting the imposing ruins of Visegrád overlooking a bend in the Danube River. This afternoon we discover the artists' village of Szentendre. Enjoy the scenery as we approach Budapest. Regarded as the Queen of the Danube, the twin cities of Buda and Pest are linked by graceful bridges. We have two comfortable overnights at our centrally located hotel. Ideally located within walking distance of historical landmarks, our accommodations are perfect for both exploration and relaxation. Tonight we join together at Matyas Pince Restaurant and take pleasure in authentic gypsy music at a special Holiday Vacations dinner. B,D


Day 10: Budapest
After breakfast we tour Budapest, known as one of Europe's most beautiful cities. See the Parliament Building, a neo-gothic structure along the banks of the Danube. This is one of the world's greatest legislative buildings. See the Millennium Monument in Hero's Square and the neo-renaissance Opera House. Highlights include the towering dome of St. Stephen's Basilica, the Royal Castle Hill district and the seven stone towers of the Fisherman's Bastion, symbolizing the leaders of the country's conquering tribes. Free time this afternoon to explore on your own. This evening we board a local excursion boat for dinner as we glide past the lights of the city including the Parliament Building and the impressive Buda Castle. After the cruise, we return to our hotel for our second night in Budapest. B,D


Day 11: Return Home
We fly home with amazing memories. B
