Daily Itinerary Items

Day 1 : Fly to Honolulu
The moment we step off the plane we will feel the "aloha" spirit that draws so many travelers to this lush island paradise. Delight in a traditional flower lei greeting. Then, check into the beautiful Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa where we can view famous Diamond Head.

Day 2 : Pearl Harbor
After breakfast, we journey to the most moving site on Oahu, Pearl Harbor. On December 7, 1941, the Japanese attacked the Navy's Pacific Fleet here, catapulting the U.S. into World War II. We stop by the visitor center to view the exhibits that recall that pivotal day. Then, embark on a Navy launch to the USS Arizona Memorial, which spans the sunken battleship. Lunch is included at Gordon Biersch overlooking beautiful Honolulu Harbor. Our city tour continues as we pass Hawaii’s State Capitol Building and Iolani Palace, a gem of Hawaiian Renaissance style and the only palace in the U.S. once inhabited by a reigning monarch. Later, we drive through the Punchbowl, an extinct volcano and home to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. After a rewarding day on Oahu, relax at dinner on your own. B,L

Day 3 : Oahu
We are free today to follow our own desires. Waikiki was a retreat for Hawaiian royalty in the 1800s; it was nicknamed "Sans Souci," French for "without worries," and it even attracted the likes of Robert Louis Stevenson. We quickly understand the appeal of these golden sands. Leisure time allows us to return to Iolani Palace, visit the Polynesian Cultural Center, or venture to explore Diamond Head. D

Day 4 : Waimea Canyon
Fly this morning to Kauai, known as the “garden isle” for its lush and tropical landscapes. We enjoy an open-air lunch at Kilohana Plantation, a historic landmark built by a sugar baron in 1935 and a remarkable example of plantation-era architecture. This afternoon, we witness the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” Waimea Canyon. This vast gorge is a striking palette of red rock and emerald green vegetation formed millions of years ago from a collapsed volcano. Later, we
arrive at our accommodations for the next two nights. L

Day 5 : Kauai
After a delicious breakfast buffet, you’ll have all day to explore Kauai’s lush corners on your own. Your Tour Director can help you make arrangements for popular excursions including a visit to an exotic fern grotto or a helicopter tour for birds-eye views of the island's breathtaking beauty. Or simply enjoy a relaxing day at the hotel, go for a stroll in the sand and cool down with a trip down the hotel’s waterslide. Dinner is included at the hotel's Naupaka Terrace Restaurant. B,D

Day 6 : The "Valley Isle"
This morning we fly to Maui, called the “valley isle” for the valleys carved into its mountains. Lunch at the Maui Ocean Center offers stunning views of Ma'alaea Bay Harbor. After lunch, there will be time to browse the center's unique collection of marine life and learn about the whales that pass here during migration season. Next, we drive to Lahaina, an old whaling port dotted with historical landmarks, shops, and galleries. The town is especially known for its gigantic Banyan tree whose branches reach out over an acre. Later, we arrive at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa, 40 oceanfront acres of lavish swimming pools, tennis, golf, and multiple dining options. We have easy access to long beach strolls from here, and a private lanai (patio) off your room. L

Day 7 : Maui
Our hotel is on the lovely Ka’anapali Beach, three miles of gorgeous sand often cited as one of the world's best beaches. We have the day to relax on our own, or return to Lahaina to learn more about its whaling past. Tee off on a championship golf course, or our Tour Director can help you arrange a snorkeling expedition at Black Rock or travel the 600 curves on the Road to Hana. B

Day 8 : A Traditional Luau
Relax and enjoy a day of leisure or wake up early to watch sunrise from the summit of Haleakala, “House of the Sun.” A pleasant stroll along a beach-side paved pathway from the hotel leads to Whalers Village, an inviting area of shops, dining and live entertainment. Tonight, say farewell Hawaiian style at the Drums of the Pacific Luau and Polynesian Show. Enjoy tropical drinks and the exotic flavors of native Hawaiian cuisine. Our evening ends with music and dances of the South Pacific! Aloha! D

Day 9 : Enjoy an Aloha Lunch
After our Holiday Vacations Farewell Lunch, we board an overnight flight to the mainland. L

Day 10 : Arrive Home
A Hui Hou (until we meet again).
