Daily Itinerary Items

Day 1: Fly To Amsterdam
This afternoon we board an overnight flight to begin our journey through the Netherlands.

Day 2: Zaans Museum
Today we arrive in Holland and are greeted by our professional European Driver Guide. We visit the world's largest flower auction in Aalsmeer. Then, we depart for Zaanse Schans, a recreated historical village established as an open-air museum. Here you will visit the Zaans Museum and a spectacular windmill. Enjoy a taste of local cheese as we visit a cheese farm. This evening, we check into our centrally located hotel and join together for a special Holiday Vacations Welcome Dinner. D

Day 3: Amsterdam City tour
In the morning we enjoy a guided city tour of Amsterdam to discover the "Capital of Holland." Discover fascinating sights such as Dam Square featuring the impressive Royal Palace and New Church, the timeless canals, and Waterloo Square. A poignant moment today is a visit to the Anne Frank House. As a young girl avoiding capture through the Nazi occupation during WWII, her diary has become one of the world's most well-known literary works. Next, we visit the Rijksmuseum and discover timeless works of 16th and 17th century Dutch masters, most notably Rembrandt (The Night watch) and Vermeer and Frans Hals. B,D

Day 4: Keukenhof & Lansingerland Farm
We savor an included breakfast before starting our exploration today at the majestic Keukenhof Gardens, known as "The Garden of Europe." This 79-acre park is the world's second-largest flower garden. Pathways weave among creatively designed plantings of tulips, daffodils, narcissus and other spectacular blossoms. Enjoy lunch on your own at Keukenhof. We next visit and tour The Lansingerland Farm. This farm has two Lely robot milking machines for the 100 cows and a Lely feeding robot. We visit the factory that creates the beautiful blue and white Delftware pottery.  Afterwards, you will have leisure time in Delft to admire the most beautiful squares of Holland, the town hall and the beautiful ‘New Church’. B

Day 5: Alkmaar
Following breakfast, we make our way through the countryside to Alkmaar. The city's traditional cheese market was founded in 1365, with thousands of pounds of cheese being carried from Waagplein Square to the impressive weighing house. We take a guided tour of Alkmaar and learn its history while enjoying samples at its unique cheese museum. We return to our hotel and enjoy dinner at leisure. B

Day 6: Leisure time & Illuminated Canal Boat Ride
After breakfast enjoy the opportunity to explore the city on your own. This evening experience an enchanted illuminated canal boat ride as Amsterdam is best seen from the water. Enjoy our delectable Holiday Vacations Farewell Dinner and take in the scenery of the monumental buildings as we glide along this 17th century waterway and view gabled warehouses, arched bridges and colorful houseboats. The city is comprised of 70 islands which are separated by nearly 50 miles of canals and connected by more than 1,000 bridges. B,D
