Day 1 : Fly to California

We arrive in sunny Southern California and check in at our beautiful, well-appointed hotel near San Diego's sparkling waterfront and popular Seaport Village.

Day 2 : City Tour and Coronado Island

Each morning begins with a savory cooked-to-order breakfast. Today, we’re off to explore San Diego with a knowledgeable local guide. We drive by Petco Park, then visit some of the city’s most distinct neighborhoods, such as the historic Gaslamp Quarter. Our included lunch at Peohe’s Restaurant on enchanting Coronado Island features a tropical interior with waterfalls and breathtaking views. Afterwards, we board a ferry for a scenic crossing of San Diego Bay before returning to our hotel for an evening at leisure.

Day 3 : San Diego Bay

We board an excursion boat this morning and set our sails for relaxation on a narrated cruise of San Diego Bay. Enjoy marvelous views of the city skyline, colorful pleasure boats, and stately U.S. Navy ships while gliding atop one of the best natural harbors in North America. This afternoon, we visit California’s first permanent Spanish settlement and home to several historic sites, Old Town. Indulge in a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, then spend time shopping or browsing this area’s charming adobe and wooden buildings.

Day 4 : San Diego Zoo

Discover your adventurous side with a full day at the San Diego Zoo! As one of the largest, most progressive zoos in the world, it boasts over 680 species and more than 12,000 animals. The park’s Skyfari® Aerial Tram, double-decker buses, and moving walkways make seeing koalas, giraffes, lions, and other exotic animals a breeze. Upon returning to the hotel, the evening is yours to spend as you wish.

Day 5 : Balboa Park

Our day is spent at Balboa Park, a historical oasis and the nation’s largest urban cultural park. Many of its structures were built for the 1915-16 Panama-California Exposition. This expansive 1,200-acre park is home to over 15 major world-class museums, renowned performing arts venues, beautiful gardens, and the San Diego Zoo. Enjoy an included one-day pass to explore your interests in up to four museums of your choosing, such as the Air & Space Museum, Natural History Museum, Museum of Art, Model Railroad Museum, and the Fleet Science Center.

Day 6 : USS Midway Museum

This morning, we visit the USS Midway Museum, a historical Navy aircraft carrier museum. Spend time touring this floating city and learn about the 225,000 sailors who served on the vessel as you view over 60 exhibits that bring the ship’s history to life. Later, enjoy one more afternoon to explore sunny San Diego. You may choose to take a trolley tour, grab lunch in the lively neighborhood of Little Italy, or stroll the Embarcadero, an incredible waterfront area with eateries and charming shops. Later, we celebrate our Southern California adventure and new friendships with a Farewell Dinner.

Day 7 : Fly Home

We return home with wonderful memories of our time in San Diego.
