Gaze upon colorful spring flowers as far as the eye can see while discovering the heritage of Holland and Belgium. On top of stunning blooms, we also enjoy historic windmills, scenic canals, stunning architecture, and rich history. Begin by flying into Amsterdam and visiting Zaanse Schans, an open-air folk museum; Rijksmuseum; and the world-famous Aalsmeer Flower Auction. We also relax on a canal boat ride, take a city tour of Haarlem, and admire the charming Castle de Haar. Then, pay respects at the American Cemetery before crossing into Belgium to learn about their brewing process. Back in Holland, tour the city of Delft and the last remaining 17th-century Delft blue & white pottery factory, before attending the iconic Gouda cheese market on our way to The Hague. Our journey concludes with exploring the city, strolling the pathways of Keukenhof, and a celebratory Farewell Dinner.

  • Day 1: Fly to the Netherlands
    Our adventure begins with an overnight flight to the capital city of Amsterdam, known for its artistic heritage and canal system.
  • Day 2: Zaanse Schans
    This morning, we arrive at the Amsterdam airport, greeted by our local Dutch guide who accompanies us each day. We begin with a visit to Zaanse Schans, an open-air museum that showcases life in the 18th and 19th centuries. Stroll through the picturesque village to explore artisan workshops with a variety of traditional Dutch crafts, and see iconic windmills, quaint wooden houses, and regional costumes. After lunch, we check in to our luxurious Dutch country estate, nestled within lush Zuid Kennemerland National Park. Tonight, get to know fellow travelers over a delicious Welcome Dinner.

  • Day 3: Rijksmuseum & Canal Cruise
    Today’s first stop is the Rijksmuseum to browse 800 years of Dutch history, including an unrivaled collection of 16th and 17th-century art by Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Frans Hals. Afterwards, enjoy time at leisure in Amsterdam to grab lunch and explore the city. We regroup later to take in views of the city while gliding along the renowned canals for a unique perspective, then we savor a traditional Dutch dinner at a local restaurant this evening.

  • Day 4: Flower Auction & Castle de Haar
    Our day starts at the Aalsmeer Flower Auction, the world’s largest international flower market. Learn how 20 million flowers journey from the fields to florists around the globe in an amazingly short amount of time. Next, we travel just outside of the city of Utrecht to tour the largest castle in the Netherlands, Castle de Haar. Explore the fairytale rooms and admire the intricate designs, then stroll through its extensive gardens. After lunch, we’re off to Valkenburg, a historical city in the southeastern province of Limburg. We settle into our accommodations before enjoying dinner at Chateau St. Gerlach, a former monastery on a gorgeous estate.

  • Day 5: American Cemetery & Belgium Beer
    We experience an impactful morning at the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, where thousands of United States servicemen were laid to rest after World War II. Our travels continue into Belgium with a visit to Palm Brewery. Learn the ins and outs of their brewing process, then indulge in a famous Belgian brew. This afternoon, we enjoy a short walking tour of Bruges, the Venice of the Benelux countries, before checking in to our hotel. The evening is at your leisure.

  • Day 6: Delft
    We journey back into Holland this morning for a guided walking tour of historic Delft, one of the most beautiful squares in the Netherlands. Enjoy a stop at the iconic Nieuwe Kerk (New Church), which was originally built between the 14th and 15th centuries as a Roman Catholic Church. Next, we tour Royal Delft to learn about the area’s last remaining earthenware factory and observe skilled artisans creating the distinctive, hand-painted blue and white porcelain. Later, we settle into our home for the next three nights in The Hague, a coastal city, and enjoy dinner together.

  • Day 7: Gouda & The Hague
    This morning, we take a short drive to the city of Gouda for an opportunity to attend the historic cheese market while learning how cheese was bought and sold centuries ago. Next, we enjoy a hands-on stroopwafel workshop, where we learn how to make the region’s most famous sweet treat. Afterwards, take some time at leisure to grab lunch, shop for souvenirs, or walk the charming streets. Upon returning to The Hague, we embark on a guided tour to see the Peace Palace and the home of the International Court of Justice for the United Nations.

  • Day 8: Keukenhof
    Beautiful blooms as far as the eye can see await us today at Keukenhof, “the Spring Garden of Europe." Stroll the pathways throughout this beautiful park to admire the creatively designed plantings of tulips, daffodils, narcissus, and other spring blossoms. There are also three exhibition halls and a windmill you can climb up for magnificent views. Tonight, we gather for our Farewell Dinner to celebrate our adventures.
